What WhatsApp costs where you are

Meta charges per message for WhatsApp replies, and the rate depends on the country your customer is in. In the countries on our included list that cost is covered by your plan. Everywhere else we pass Meta's price straight through, at cost, with no markup.

About WhatsApp's own fee

From 1 October 2026 Meta charges per message for replies sent on WhatsApp, including the ones your assistant sends. In the countries on our included list that is covered by your plan. Everywhere else we pass Meta's price straight through, at cost, itemised per country in your console. We do not mark it up.

The reason it is split rather than averaged: Meta's rate varies by roughly sixteen times between the cheapest and most expensive markets. A single flat price covering all of them would either be too expensive for most businesses or lose money on the rest.

Telegram costs nothing per message

Telegram charges no platform fee, which is why bots are generous on every plan. It still uses your reply allowance, because the thinking is the part that costs us money, not the delivery.
